My story is not unique - but I am a person that has become my best self in the harshest of environments. I have learned so much on this path as a coder and I am so excited to meet you all.

About

Learning web development and leveraging the MERN (MongoDB, Express, ReactJS, NodeJS) stack to help build web apps has opened up a life and dream to me I never knew was possible. As a participant and member of The Last Mile(TLM) coding program, I learned to embed within me a level of determination, appreciation, tenacity and individuality necessary to contribute and rise to any challenge that I will face as a web developer.
As a member of The Last Mile - a comprehensive computer and web development immersive program teaching the fundamentals of coding and tech to justice impacted peoples.I learned to take the initiative and become a positive voice and mentor for my coworkers and program. While a student of TLM, I learned to work independently, with other engineers and bring my own unique perspective to the cohort as well. I learned to create websites and build apps utilizing HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JQuery, NodeJS Express, MongoDB, Mongoose & React.
I love leading and being a positive voice to any team I'm in. I find supporting my work environment with a team first approach has helped me become a better coder, problem solver and person. I am engaging and humble, never taking the moment for granted. I strive to be at my best and love learning. I believe that we all have value and knowledge that can help humanity: tech-related or otherwise and having a chance to learn from my team is priceless to me.
